Janis Joplin died here

This hotel looks better than it did on 10-4-1970 when Janis Joplin drew her last bluesey breath punctuated by a spike full of heroin. Less than a month earlier (9-18-70) we had lost Jimi Hendrix to an overdose of barbiturates. Along with Jim Morrison who would die less than a year later, all were 27 years old. There is probably some significant numerological revealation in this.
