“I fell in love with her,” says filmmaker Amy Berg on her Janis Joplin documentary, Janis: Little Girl Blue. “I fell in love with her even more by the end than by the beginning, I found myself very protective of certain parts of her life that I constantly was challenging myself: am I doing a disservice by not putting a certain thing in the film?”
